Trailer

Plot summary

The uniform of the elegant Atlantic Hotel's doorman earns him the respect of his neighbors and his community, and he takes pride in wearing it. Age has made the guests' trunks and suitcases heavy for him to carry. On a busy, rainy night, after dragging a heavy suitcase in out of the rain, he sits down to rest, and the manager passes by while he is off his post. The next day he learns that he is to work as a washroom attendant instead of standing at the door. Stunned and humiliated, he tries to conceal the demotion from his friends and family.
