Plot summary
An egg sac in the ocean holds a baby Sharktopus, which marine biologist Lorena Christmas raises at the water park and aquarium run by her uncle Munoz. Dr. Rico Symes, whose company built the first Sharktopus, releases a hybrid of barracuda and pterodactyl called Pteracuda above the desert, meant for military use and steered by a chip in its brain, against the advice of his head of security Hamilton. When Pteracuda escapes its handlers and turns toward populated ground, Symes and Hamilton pressure Munoz into handing over the grown Sharktopus so it can fight the new creature, which angers Lorena, who has been training it.
