Yi Lu

Yi Lu is a Chinese actor and singer who started performing as a child in Shanghai. After training at the Shanghai Theatre Academy and graduating in 1999, he rose to prominence through the television series Never Dies Content. At five he appeared in Spring Ding-dong, and from age five to eighteen he averaged one or two movies a year; he also learned Peking Opera and Chinese Kung Fu and later performed in more than 700 dramas. He became one of China's top actors and appeared in fourteen television series and films, including Boy&Girl, Confucius (2010), Fit Lover (2008) and Seven Swords (2005). He released two albums and published two books. Seven Swords opened the Venice Film Festival and received seven Golden Horse nominations and two Hong Kong Film Award nominations. He later played leading roles in Anna&Anna and Tangshan Dadizhen. The Stool Pigeon received four Hong Kong Film Award nominations, and Three Kingdoms earned two awards in Korea and Japan.
