Simone Griffeth

Simone Griffeth is an American actress who began performing as a teenager, appearing in a television commercial when she was fifteen. She spent three years as a theater arts student at the University of South Carolina, and during that time she acted on a children's show broadcast weekly by a Columbia station. Her first film part came in Swamp Girl (1971), where she played the title role, a naive rural girl, in an exploitation picture. She followed with a run of 1970s features and then moved into recurring work in prime-time series in the early 1980s, among them the reporter Gretchen on Ladies' Man (1980 to 1981) and Arlene, the spoiled daughter-in-law, on Amanda's (1983). She also played Chrissy, Stan Zbornak's second wife, on The Golden Girls, acting again with Herb Edelman, and in 2017 returned to screens in the crime drama Untouched as a Savannah law firm's matriarch. She coaches actors near Hilton Head.
