Robyn Douglass

Robyn Douglass, a retired American actress and model, was born in Sendai, Japan, and started acting as a student at a girls' school in Mountain View, California. Her acting work lasted 21 years, beginning in 1978 and ending in 1999. She appeared in Breaking Away (1979) and The Lonely Guy (1984), and also in Romantic Comedy (1983). On Galactica 1980 she took a recurring part. In 1984 she took the part of Carly Perkins in Her Life As A Man, a television comedy-drama adapted from a Village Voice article by Carol Lynn Mithers. The character, an aspiring reporter, pretended to be a man named Carl Parsons to seek a sportswriting job at a national magazine with an infamously chauvinistic editor.
