Michel Ray
Biography
Michel Ray is a British financier, former Olympic skier and luger, and onetime child actor. Born in Gerrards Cross, Buckinghamshire, he acted as a child and teenager under the name Michel Ray. His films included The Divided Heart, The Brave One, The Tin Star (1957), and Lawrence of Arabia (1962), in which he played Farraj, Lawrence's personal servant. He left acting for Harvard University and later earned an MBA there. He skied for Great Britain at the 1968 Winter Olympics and competed in luge at the 1972 and 1976 Games, and in 2013 he was named President of British Skeleton. In finance, he was vice-chairman of investment banking at Citigroup and chaired Citi Private Bank in the Europe, Middle East and Africa region from November 2009. He became Executive Director at Heineken Holding N.V. in April 2015 and chairman of CapGen in 2018.
