Marina Berti
Biography
Marina Berti was an Italian film actress whose screen career began in 1941 with La Fuggitiva, a film starring Anna Magnani. Born in London, she went on to appear in close to 100 Italian and American productions, usually in supporting parts but sometimes as the lead. Her credits included Quo Vadis (1951), Ben-Hur (1959), Cleopatra (1963), If It's Tuesday, This Must Be Belgium (1969), What Have They Done to Your Daughters? (1974) and Last Stop on the Night Train (1975). She also worked on television, appearing in Jesus of Nazareth (1977) and in Moses the Lawgiver (1975). Her final film role came in 2002, in Amen., a project by Costa-Gavras. She died in 2002.
