Margaret Field

Margaret Field was an American film actress whose career began after talent scout Milton Lewis spotted her at the Pasadena Playhouse and brought her to Paramount Pictures. Born in Houston, Texas, she moved to Pasadena, California, in the late 1930s. A successful screen test led to an 18-month contract, and she studied voice training and acting at Pasadena Junior College while acting in films. Early on she appeared in Musical Parade shorts and had small roles in 26 features from 1946 to 1953. She became best known for the science-fiction films The Man from Planet X (1951) and Captive Women (1952), and she played dozens of roles in television series. Her TV credits included two roles as defendants on Perry Mason, Eva Martell in 1959 and Linda Osborne in 1960, along with The Lone Ranger, Wagon Train, Bonanza, The Virginian, Lawman, Westinghouse Desilu Playhouse, and a 1963 Twilight Zone episode.
