Enrique Almeida

Enrique Almeida is an American actor and screenwriter born in Los Angeles, where weekly family visits to the movies sparked his interest in film. Without industry connections, he pursued acting and writing classes and landed his first onscreen role on the Latin television series Placas. He went on to appear in features including Bruce Almighty, Employee of the Month (2004), and Gangs of the Dead, as well as guest spots on CSI Miami, The Unit, Days of Our Lives, and other series. In 2004 he founded Stonehenge Pictures and co-produced Splinter, his screenwriting debut, starring as Dreamer, a gang member mourning his brother. He also co-wrote and acted in Hittin' the Bricks and 25 to Life, receiving strong notices for playing a drug lord in the first and for the socially conscious character study he wrote and starred in for the second.
