Plot summary
Ron and Becca's marriage is in a rut, and months have passed since they were last intimate. Money is tight: Ron, who owns a small construction business, is still off work after his disability payments ran out, and Becca, a nurse, works double shifts to keep them afloat. He flips properties, while she is tired of living in an investment rather than a home. They have been trying for a baby without success, and Becca takes fertility drugs. Their wealthy friends Max and Mindy, who have known them since college, say an open relationship rescued their own troubled marriage a year ago and suggest the same, playing only as a couple. Ron and Becca agree, with their own condition that either can stop at any time, no questions asked.
