Plot summary
A reporting trip brings Campbell Wallace to the town where her biological father, Everett Bergeron, lives, and she keeps her reason for coming to herself. The Bergeron household takes her in for the Christmas season under that cover. Jennifer Bergeron, Amelia Bergeron and Mary-Margaret Bergeron are among the relatives she spends those days with, and Everett welcomes her as a guest. Jackson Shepherd, the town's record keeper, is another local she meets while she goes about her assignment. The visit gives her the chance to know her father at last, and she has to decide whether to tell him who she is.
