Plot summary
Duca is a teenager in Porto Alegre. His father is Laerte and his mother is Cléia, and his closest friends are Isa, who he has a crush on, and Kid, who Isa has a crush on. One night his uncle Éder arrives at the family house and says he has killed the ex-husband of his girlfriend Soraia. Laerte telephones a lawyer friend to help Éder build a defense. Éder's account does not add up for Duca, who is sure his uncle confessed to protect Soraia. Duca tells Isa the news, and Kid turns up at her house while he is still there. He begins asking questions about the case and asks permission to visit Éder in jail, where Isa insists on coming along.
