Last Dance (1996) on Netflix

Plot summary

Rick Hayes, new in his job, is named to the Clemency board through his brother John Hayes. His boss, Sam Burns, assigns him the case of Cindy Liggett, who has spent twelve years on death row since being found guilty of a double murder, and takes him to the prison for their first meeting. Cindy is despondent and seems to have accepted her fate. Her legal options are exhausted; she has just received a thirty-day death sentence. Clemency, she says, would only turn that sentence into life in prison without parole, and the governor has never spared anyone on death row. Rick starts to look into her case.
