Plot summary
Emilia and her husband Țucu are preparing for a visit from their daughter Alice, who has lived in the United States for the past ten years and is bringing her American boyfriend, Alan. The Romania they live in, in 2010, has changed into a country Emilia no longer fits into, and the reunion brings back the years she spent under communism, when she believes she was better off. Flashbacks return her to that period, and she tries to keep the life she remembers alive. At the same time she also tries to solve the money problems her daughter has brought with her.
