Plot summary
Young Fernando is put in charge of St. Nicholas' golden key. The boat to the Netherlands leaves without him, and the key is still in his pocket. His best friend Pony goes with him, and the two travel overland, Pony trotting as fast as he can. St. Nicholas' eve is in danger, because Sinterklaas needs the golden key to bring presents to the children whose houses have no chimney.
