Plot summary
Carla Burin has moved from Venice to London, where she works at a hotel front desk and hunts for an apartment that she and her boyfriend Matteo can share. She wants Matteo to leave his home city and join her in England. Her outfits draw stares wherever she goes, from men and women alike, and she tries to stay faithful to the lover who is far away. The estate agent Moira, who is bisexual, rents her a loft overlooking the Thames on intimate terms. Matteo is quick to anger and jealous.
