Plot summary
Eighteen years after a spirit named Manjulika was sealed inside a chamber of a mansion in Bhawanigarh, Rajasthan, the Thakur family has left the house empty. Ruhaan Randhawa, a travel vlogger, meets Reet Thakur, a medical student heading toward Chandigarh for a marriage she is reluctant to enter. They skip her bus for a music carnival, and that bus crashes, killing everyone aboard, so the Thakurs take Reet for dead. After overhearing a call between her sister Trisha and Sagar, Reet chooses to let the family keep believing she is dead and travels with Ruhaan to the ancestral mansion, where the two hide. Chote Pandit, a priest, sees the doors open and brings the Thakurs, and Ruhaan, found alone, claims Reet's spirit led him there. Word of his gift spreads, and he becomes known as Rooh Baba.
