He reaches out for understanding from the two most important people in his life; his nephew Cody, who has lived with him from age twelve and the suicide of his sister, and his long time friend, Celeste Sawyer who is also his agent of over twenty years. Even though Cody and Celeste are at odds with each other, they understand the need to work together to pull Colin out of of his downward spiral.Meanwhile, Colin's novel, a true masterpiece, grows in its intensity while his imagination and terror wreck havoc with his grasp on reality.
