Plot summary
The group first appeared in a 1964 documentary about seven-year-olds from very different backgrounds: children of privilege, a Yorkshire farm boy, girls from the East End of London and boys from a children's home. The project has revisited them at seven-year intervals ever since, and at 42 the cameras return to those who agreed to take part again. They describe careers that have stalled or taken off, marriages that hold and marriages that do not, and their own children growing up. One participant has married for the first time. Another is raising young sons on her own, and a third has remarried. Two of the original group declined to be filmed this time.
