People who own a German shepherd or Belgium malinios understand the unwavering loyalty and bond between owner and dog. The dog sees it owner/s as a member of their pack and will give their own life to protect their owner/s.
This is the main reason German shepherd and the Belgium malinios are also chosen by the armed services and law enforcement is for their intelligence, drive and loyalty.
A German shepherd for example has a top running speed of 30 miles per hour, so no humans stand a chance of out running a German shepherd.
My rescued German shepherd is a member of my family she has the run of the house, so whilst I understand some owners like to use a crate, I don't, so in the movie I found it a bit hard to take and wondered what the dead solider and handler of Max would make of it, but it's a movie and gives the audience food for thought.
It took some time, but my German shepherd and I have an unbreakable bond and I know for a fact if she felt the need to, she would do everything in her power to protect me.
I might have missed it in the movie but the solider that got discharged due to medical reasons, might have been given a dishonourable discharge and he isn't a patriot but a home grown terrorist and deserved everything he got, I have no sympathy for him whatsoever.
