Video quality: Dead Silence came out in 2007 but it wouldn't be until 2015, 8 years later, that a blu ray would be released. The blu ray quality is okay. Some scenes show noticeable grain on screen with some softness. Other scenes are surprisingly great at showing fine detail on faces, hair, clothing, etc. Again, I feel like the tint over the movie contributes to the lack of detail by making everything muted. But it is what it is. A 4k version of this film would definitely improve the quality. I'm sure the tint will remain but I've seen how dvd to blu ray of the Ring (2002) enhanced the colors a bit which I imagine would happen here.
Audio quality: Dead Silence is presented in DTS-HD Master audio 5.1 lossless soundtrack. It sounds like any other movie to me, crisp and impressive all throughout.

Con subtítulos al español. Difícil de conseguir pero valió la pena
Wow! I really enjoyed this movie. I know it's been done many times before but who doesn't enjoy a good ghost story or a movie about killer dolls? I loved everything about this movie. I thought the story was unique and the pacing kept the film moving nicely along. I really enjoyed the music and sound effects for this movie. The music kept the creepiness factor pretty consistent throughout the film.
Dead Silence isn't your typical horror movie and I think it's worth checking out, if you're a fan of this type of movie. The movie doesn't contain a lot of gore but it's genuinely creepy and filled with plenty of scares. There's also a couple plot twists that I personally didn't see coming especially the ending!
As for the Unrated Blu-ray from Universal Pictures, I couldn't find anything wrong with the picture or sound at all. The image is crisp and clear, colors are solid. This isn't a brightly colored film to begin with and I found that the dark colors added to the creepiness of the movie. The DTS-HD master audio and DTS digital 5.1 sound came through my home theatre system with no problems and it sounded great.
