Time can be a funny thing
When I was a kid I loved this movie. The 80s were a great time for Barbarian flicks. I would watch this all the time when it came on for what seem like every Friday or Saturday night for years. Then I grew older and time passed. I saw this less and less on TV and sort of forgot about it. I mean I remember the character very well and the movie but it wasn’t on my mind to watch anytime soon. Then somewhere around the late 2000s I saw a Red Sonja comic at the store and thought why not I’ll give it a read. After I finished it I really liked it and thought I’m gonna go check out more of these new comics. That’s when I had a flash back to watching the movie and all those warm fuzzy memories came back of watching it 20 years earlier. So later on I found someone had it on YouTube (remember when there was actually watchable stuff on their instead of it being infected with influencers) gave it a watch and thought holy crap that did not age well. Stiff wooden acting, mullets, an annoying kid I kept wishing they would throw over a cliff, and a big glowing green ball that no man was allowed to touch. I guess blue would of been too obvious. But fast forward to today and blame it on the nostalgia or blame it on the fact I can count on one hand how many new movies came out in the last 10 years I actually like but Red Sonja and her mullet have found a new life with me. I guess it’s one of those movies people of my age group can appreciate. It’s not good but it has that old charm you just don’t see anymore. Some modern B movies might try to imitate it but it never lives up to these classics. We’ll more than likely never see them like this ever again and maybe that’s why I like it so much now. Time can be a little weird like that.

Trae Castellano tanto audio como subtitulos. Nada que ver con la edición floja española. De nuevo los consumidores españoles obligados a comprar en el extranjero ediciones más completas que las que por aquí salen. Curiosidad.. caratula de doble cara idéntica. Extras interesantes.
