Product Description
A warrior and a wise guy. They're Los Angeles who mix punches with punchlines in a knock-down, gun-down Showdown in Little Tokyo. Dolph Lundgren is the muscle, an American samurai steeped in Eastern traditions. Brandon Lee is a "Valley dude" quipster with a lot of fight in him. Together they hang tough in a war with a lurid L.A. underworld of Japanese drug lords. As directed by Mark L. Lester (Commando), that combat is a frenzied comic book come to explosive life. How this dynamic duo takes on and flattens all comers makes for "smart, fast-moving martial arts action adventure. A class act" (Kevin Thomas, Los Angeles Times).

This is a great 90s movie to add to the ole Blu-ray collection
This is your standard action fare but really shines in the genre given the chemistry between the two leads. I've always liked Martial Arts - Gunplay hybrid flicks and this one is very well done. This movie really is one of the highlights of Dolph's career as a he plays a solitary, quiet, streetwise cop which is a pretty one dimensional role but given the level of his acting ability it is an excellent fit. Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa kicks the same ass he always kicks in the movies he makes. He plays a truly evil and sadistic villain who always seems to be winking at the audience and saying "hey, check out this guy.... is he crazy or what?".
What can I say about Brandon Lee that hasn't already been said? He shines, it's as simple as that.
The only complaint I have is the film is way too short which I think detracts from most action movies of this caliber. I guess they think that the people who see these must have short attention spans or something which, for the most part, is totally untrue. Give us some more action, give us some more dialogue and give us some more time to really know the characters.
Drop this little gem in your cart and prepare for an evening of great action and great one liners!

If you’ve never seen this movie and are considering it, I would highly recommend it (if you love over the top 80s action). It’s a total ego piece for Dolph, and it’s completely ridiculous, but in a great way. Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa plays a stellar villain (obviously, he’s Shang Tsung!) and Brandon Lee is perfect as the buddy cop bromance partner. 10/10

Dolph Lundgren is the muscle bound Bushido American Samurai steeped in Eastern traditions. Brandon Lee is a ''Valley dude" Japanese? American quipster with Martial Arts skills. Together they hang tough in a war with a lurid L.A. underworld of Japanese drugs lords expansion(YAKUZA).
A must for any Martial Arts practitioner studying the Japanese way and Bruce Lee's Jeet Kune Do!
And see one of the few movies the late great Brandon Lee son of "The Dragon" did.
