A squadron of Japanese soldiers find themselves transported through time to Japan s feudal period...400 years in the past, where rival samurai clans are battling to make their leader the supreme Shogun. Time Slip is the western title as it's also known as GI Samurai in Japan.
There are many different cuts and the one on this release is the full uncut original version. I first watched a dubbed and much shorter cut and being as it was back in the early 80's on vhs and me being a kid i never knew there was a full and completely version out there,so on finding out i jumped on it as soon as i saw it.
I'm not a guy who fills his reviews with spoilers,so with that I'm done apart from saying it's a time travel movie that is totally unique and should not be missed.

One of my favorite movies! A platoon of modern soldiers suddenly find themselves in the middle of one of the biggest conflicts in Japanese samurai history. (Using "samurai history" as an easy way to describe the era.) Can they alter history? SHOULD they alter history? How effective are their modern weapons against a skilled, dedicated samurai army? It is total fantasy, as are all time-warp movies, but it is a fun ride for sure!

This film makes us discover that often the appearance is misleading and that obviousness can destroy illusion. To cross the time and to meet the man of honour is not an easy thing but declaring war to them, you will see who wins. If you like the samurai try this one.
