Gemini moved a little too slowly for me, but the ending was on target. The highlight of the show was the small role played brilliantly by the largely talented actor Reeve Carney. With more screen time, Reeve could have brought this show up to 5 stars! Still, a steady plot but with a too slow a build up.
Lola Kirke is hot. Vague ending that will enrage many. I watched it twice and it still had me a little confused. Made up for by the stylish filming and cool locations. And also Lola Kirke is hot.
Take a 'who done it" story written by a High Drama class for their Senior Project. Add lots of exterior shots of L.A., expensive hillside homes for the view, and combine it with all the 'what NOT to do' cliches when you're the prime suspect in a murder. Pad it out with long driving sequences, cars, buses, motorcycles to get 'somewhere' and advance the irritating plot. Don't waste your time on this.
I bought the DVD because of the critical acclaim. The film is well-shot, and well-acted, but the plot makes no sense. Spoiler Alert! The police finds a dead body in a celebrity's house and assumes that the celebrity was killed, just because the body has the same hairstyle.
Nice lil film filled with good performances and solid direction. Has a delightful chilled out soundtrack (especially in the first 1/2). The only thing I didn't really love is that the resolution feels. . . off? It's hard to explain without spoiling, but I just didn't love the ending.
